WIT Volunteer Spotlight

Volunteer Position at WIT? Working the WIT Career fair, answering questions and helping people feel more comfortable and a “bouncer” at the WOTY awards…
How long have you volunteered for WIT? 3+ Years
Why did you start volunteering with WIT?
As the father of two daughters, supporting, encouraging and empowering women is something I love in both my personal and professional life.
What do you find most rewarding about volunteering with WIT?
Interacting with people, hands down. At the WIT Career Fair I noticed a lot of nervousness and anxiety with people and chose to help them start conversations, plan their attack and introduce them to contacts they wanted to meet. Sometimes people need a little push and I love that.
What is your favorite program/event within WIT?
I loved the career fair. They are all super important but love pouring into young people and help them get their start!
What would you like to share that people do not know?
Two to three times a year I get asked for an autograph, a picture or if I’m in town filming a movie. I am mistaken for a somewhat famous TV and screen actor. I don’t see it, but other people do.
Husband and father. Makes me a better man!!!
