Why did you start volunteering with WIT?

I have a passion for helping. I believe in not only using your talents at work, but it is critical to use those same talents to help others. I selected WIT because I met SO many amazing women that poured into me while I was at a crossroad. That experience made me feel included and I wanted to join this Sisterhood of exceptionally talented beautiful women.

What do you find most rewarding about volunteering with WIT?

I volunteer with WIT Girls and I am in AWE of how uniquely talented and intelligent the girls in our program are. That generation of girls will without doubt change the world!

What is your favorite program / event within WIT?

I am VERY biased but, Job Shadow is my favorite program. Simply because it gives girls a glimpse in the work world of various technology companies and positions. When I was their age I would have LOVED having an experience like Job Shadow.

What experience in your life made you a stronger person? Being a single mother has made me a stronger person. Having her so early allowed me to consider all my actions in how they would affect her.
