As part of the Dealertrack F&I Product Management team, the Business Analyst intern will be primarily responsible for defining, developing and documenting more efficient processes and procedures to manage internal data gathering, and external client communications related to relevant product enhancements. The Business Analyst will be expected to leverage requirements gathering, data acquisition and data analysis skills, and use creative communications and visualization tools to make recommendations to internal stake holders. He/She will work directly with product managers, product owners, Engineering/Tech and Business Operations to identify key process improvements that help achieve the desired product and client success outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Organize and capture all business requirements for assigned process improvements tasks
Assist product partners in data analysis and process documentation activities
Identify and analyze internal client and partner business needs, and translate needs into written business requirements and value-added solutions
Determine best practices and develops actionable insights and recommendations for the related business operations.
Communicate day-to-day decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff
Analyze and identify improvements and risks to Departmental documentation, policies and procedures, and controls.
Compile, create, and maintain documentation pertaining to relevant policies, procedures, process flows, data validation rules, SOPs, and related materials.
Work independently with product, business and technology personnel to define concepts and approach for analysis
Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their Business Processes, including current state and the desired ‘to-be’ state
Develop benefit/cost analysis; reviews and determines appropriate recommendation with leaders
Perform other duties as requested.
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is $25.00 – 30.00/hour. The hourly rate may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s experience.
Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Qualifications:
MIS or Engineering major preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to synthesize information quickly at a high level and makes decisions in ambiguous situations
Ability to pay strong attention to detail, and collaborate and function effectively in a team environment and independently on complex problems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, curiosity and hunger to learn new skills
Experience using Microsoft Office tools
