WIT Connect is back with a new format this year! To assist you in participating and supporting the cause, we have created an FAQ below that contains all the essential information. Our annual fundraiser now has a more casual vibe. Still, our aim remains the same: to bring together our diverse community of technology leaders and professionals while raising funds for WIT’s programming that empowers women and girls to excel in STEAM from the classroom to the boardroom. Where and when does WIT Connect happen this year?
WIT Connect is Thursday, May 2nd, at Topgolf in Midtown (1600 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW Atlanta, GA 30318) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This event will be packed with fun and fundraising and will feature an impressive lineup of leaders in our Executive Auction. The dress code is casual, and it’s an excellent opportunity to wear your company logo gear!
Who is attending the event?
WIT Connect is well-known for including an impressive lineup of tech leaders both in the executive auction and at the event itself. Hundreds of people attend representing many of Atlanta’s top technology companies, including Amazon Music, Cisco, Cox Enterprises, Equifax, Georgia Pacific, Global Payments, Macy’s Technology, Primerica, Salesforce, State Farm, Southern Company, The Home Depot, Truist – and many more!
What is the Executive Auction experience?
Atlanta’s tech community supports WIT by offering an Executive Auction. The Auction will be held online from April 23rd at Noon EST until April 26th at 5 p.m. EST. It is open to registered WIT Connect ticket holders only. By participating in this Auction, you can win valuable experiences with some of Atlanta’s most successful technology leaders while contributing to WIT’s mission.
- Registered ticket holders for WIT Connect will receive an email with instructions on accessing the bidding portal.
- Only winning bids and donations will be charged to the card you register.
- The bidding for the Executive Auction will close on Friday, April 26th, at 5 p.m. EST.
- Each winning bidder for the Executive Auction packages will receive one complimentary admission to the VIP Reception held on May 2nd at 4 pm. This applies to the Executive Auction portion of the bidding only.
- The details for each Executive Auction team, including their package details and attendance plans for WIT Connect, are available on the website and in the bidding portal.
- The Silent Auction and Mentorship Packages will close on May 2nd at 7:45 p.m. EST.
- You can bid on as many executive packages and silent auction items as you desire, but there are no second-place winners. Only the top bidder for each package wins!
- You will find out which Executive Auction package(s) you have won before the May 2nd event so that you can plan your evening.
Bidders often donate generously, knowing their contributions will help a worthy cause. Most executive packages include time together as a tournament team at WIT Connect, and ALL packages include a one-hour meeting (held in-person or virtually) outside of the event. Some packages even include fabulous experiences like trips and wine tastings, so be sure to view the participating Executive Auction companies here!
What is the VIP Reception?
The VIP Reception is a unique opportunity to meet the executives and leaders participating in the WIT Executive Auction experience. You can learn more about these individuals and other leaders in their organizations and hear about their top technology initiatives. You can access the VIP Reception by sponsoring at the $6,500 level or higher or by winning an Executive Auction package.
So, what is Topgolf?
In short, Topgolf is an indoor/outdoor sports entertainment venue that features an inclusive, high-tech golf game that everyone can enjoy, paired with great food and drinks, bar areas, climate-controlled hitting bays, and music.
What if my colleagues and I don’t want to play golf?
No problem! You don’t have to pick up a golf club to enjoy this event. We provide food and drinks and an outstanding opportunity to explore the venue, network, and meet new WIT friends.
What if I LOVE to play golf?
Fabulous! Be sure to sign up for the official tournament, which will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and compete for one of the top spots. Additionally, you can purchase tickets for our special contests, such as Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Hole in One, which offers a chance to win $10,000.
We purchased a table at past WIT Connect events. What is the equivalent for this year’s format?
Much like a table at a gala, your bay is reserved for you and your guests all evening as a home base to relax and have fun. Reserved Bays come with 8 event tickets, providing a perfect opportunity to bring your colleagues for teambuilding or host current/potential clients for a fun-filled evening. What if I want to purchase a single ticket to WIT Connect?
Single-ticket purchases are available now! All tickets include food and drink, access to special contests, and the option to play in the official tournament. Click here to register for a single ticket.
Is there a Silent Auction this year?
Thanks to generous donations, we’ll offer a selection of silent auction items! The silent auction will open online on April 23rd and run until 7:45 pm EST on May 2nd.
Can I support the cause by donating to the Silent Auction?
Yes – and thank you! Please use this form to let us know you want to donate to the silent auction. Items that generate the most fundraising dollars include travel experiences, tickets to sporting events, sports memorabilia, and gourmet food and drink items (including wine tastings and cooking classes).
