WIT Volunteer Spotlight
Why did you start volunteering with WIT?
I knew I wanted to get involved in WIT after attending several Breakfast meetings. I was an independent consultant at the time and was looking for ways to get involved in the community.
What do you find most rewarding about volunteering with WIT?
The Single Mothers Program (SMP) is a very rewarding program to be a part of. This program truly builds up and gives back to all involved.
What is your favorite program / event within WIT?
I love the socials (especially when they were in person), the socials during Covid were also a great way to feel like we were together – the musical performances were great. The monthly meetings are an essential and I am looking forward to these being in person again. Any networking event is good.
What experience in your life made you a stronger person?
All the experiences that made me pivot to something new. Never be afraid to try something new – you never know where it will lead you!
What 3 traits define you?
What is the best place you have traveled to? British Virgin Islands – the beautiful water, fun times with friends sailing from island to island was the best!
What is your favorite word/phrase/quote? Some days you have to create your own sunshine “Unknown”
