Why did you start volunteering with WIT?

I have always been passionate about encouraging girls and women to explore studies and careers in STEAM. I started volunteering with WIT specifically because WIT offers opportunities for girls and women at all stages of their studies and careers. It also breaks down barriers for women by providing free resources and opportunities!u00a0

What do you find most rewarding about volunteering with WIT?

It is incredibly rewarding when the girls get excited when learning something new in STEAM and when they make new friends at events!u00a0

What is your favorite program/event within WIT?

In WIT Girls, we set up events with various companies and organizations where the girls get to meet women in leadership roles and see all of the different career possibilities in the STEAM space!u00a0

I have two kitties, a daughter on the way, and love camping and hiking with my partner! I am also an avid fantasy reader, coffee drinker, and you can catch me doing hot yoga in my free time.

What experience made you a stronger person?

I have had to stand up and advocate for myself throughout my career and it has helped me to find my confidence and self-worth. It is uncomfortable, but you are worth it!! You are your best advocate.

What is the best place you have traveled to?
n
Japan or France! But I have a soft spot for France.
