WIT Campus – Scholarships for STEAM Students (WIT Campus Clubs)

WIT believes in supporting you for all your hard work and we do this by offering scholarships that will help you in your college journey. That is why participants of the WIT Campus program will be eligible to apply for a student scholarship.

We are excited that you are interested in the WIT Campus Scholarship! Scholarship awards can be up to $10,000 and are awarded at the June WIT Connect Event.

Important Dates:

  • WIT Campus Application Process Opens on 1/4/2021  
  • WIT Campus Application Process Closes on 2/26/2021
  • Finalists Notified on 3/24/2021
  • Finalists will be required to participate in a video interview and must be available – Week of 3/29/2021
  • Winner Notified of Selection – Week of 4/12/2021
  • Scholarship winners will be required to provide a brief interview video to be played at the June Connect Event – Week of  5/10/2021
  • Scholarships will be awarded at the 2021 June WIT Connect Event.  Accommodations are not provided

Scholarship Benefits:

The financial scholarship award will be paid directly to your confirmed educational institution.  The scholarship recipient is required to provide the WIT Office the necessary information to make direct payment to the educational institute two weeks in advance of required payment date.

  • Three (3) tickets to and recognition at WIT Connect in June 2021.
  • Recognition on the Women in Technology website, WIT videos, the WIT Campus web page and social media

Eligibility:

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate (Freshman to rising Senior) in pursuit of their first undergraduate degree in STEAM, enrolled in an accredited Georgia College or University with an active WIT Campus program
  • Must be currently enrolled in a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) related degree program
  • Must be in good academic standing with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Must be an active participant in WIT Campus having attended at least 2 WIT Sponsored Campus Events in 2020/2021. Here is a list of all WIT Campus Sponsored Events:

June 29: WIT CAMPUS – GEORGIA SOUTHERN HACKATHON 
September 18: WIT CAMPUS 2020 OPENING EVENT – FISERV
September 28: WIT CAMPUS: INTRODUCTION OF API’S WITH PRIMERICA
October 16: WIT CAMPUS AND EQUIFAX – TECH TRANSFORMATION
October 26: UPS & WIT CAMPUS PRESENT…”CRACK THE CODE-VIRTUAL CAREER FAIRS”
November 10: WIT CAMPUS: ANATOMY OF A REST API WITH PRIMERICA

February 6: WIT VIRTUAL CAREER FAIR

* Note: All scholarship winners will not be eligible to apply for another WIT scholarship until 24 months after their winning. 

Requirements:

  • Answer four (4) essay questions
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from school faculty member and/or mentor
  • Provide a copy of your most recent grade report or official transcript
  • Attach updated Resume
  • Attach high resolution professional head shot photo
  • Must be able to attend WIT Connect in June 2021
  • Must be able and willing to represent WIT at speaking engagements when requested
