Supporting WIT...

Why did you start volunteering with WIT?

I first volunteered with WIT as an employee at The Weather Channel. After hosting high school girls during WIT Girls Job Shadow week, I knew I wanted to support this cause.

What do you find most rewarding about volunteering with WIT?

The most rewarding part for me is the thought that, in some small way, I may be positively impacting a young lady’s life. Growing up, there were teachers and mentors that showed me support and made me feel like I could do anything. Well, that is exactly why I volunteer with WIT Girls and this amazing organization-- I want to do that, too.

What is your favorite program / event within WIT?

It’s hard to choose a favorite program! But if I had to, it would be WIT Girls. Can you imagine if every child had the opportunities that WIT provides students in STEAM? Such a powerful thing.
