Volunteer STEM Experiences & Immersions Chair: WIT Girls

The chairperson is the overall leader for planning, execution, and success of all Company/Sponsor and Community Partner Exploration and Immersion experiences throughout the year. Owns building and maintaining a strong working relationship with partners/companies teams to deliver experiences meeting WIT Girls expectations and mission. Ensures a proper support team assisting her ensuring all goals/KPIs for the experiences are met, event planning is managed well, registration goals are met, sponsors are supported and prepared for the events/experiences, volunteers secured for each location as needed, logistics management/execution, and post experience/event survey completion.
Time Commitment: Average 8-12 hours/month
Responsibilities:
- Confirm sponsor companies participation
- Work with each company contact to plan job shadow activities, providing ideas ensuring alignment with WIT Girls needs and mission
- Work with WIT Mktg team to market event to students
- Manage and complete the Event Tracker for each experience; ensuring all notes captured in the tracker, tasks managed/tracked to completion
- Collect all information needed for KBYG, ensuring accuracy of content prior to distribution
- Organize volunteers to match girls to companies
- Plan & assist in opening AND closing day activities w/ sponsor companies and WIT program team
- Own event registration, confirmations, & attendance details
- Provide Volunteer Director and WIT Program leader w/ frequent updates
- Collect feedback for improvements from sponsor companies & students
- Store all final documents in Google Drive
- Train & utilize secondary PM in all functions of this role
