Senior Analyst, Online Analytics

Position Description:
Position Purpose:
Senior Analysts, Online Analytics are responsible for leading small to medium subsets of larger projects and conducting advanced analytics in order to provide actionable insights to THD Senior Leadership to support strategic decisions within Marketing, Operations, and Merchandising. They must possess a high level of analytical ability to distinguish multiple components of a problem, an innate curiosity to ask and answer the next logical question, and the ability to develop conclusions using quantitative, qualitative, exploratory, and predictive data analysis skills (such as attribution modeling, forecasting, recommendations, profiling, and clustering). Key responsibilities include but are not limited to leading projects, effective communication to teams and other leaders, reviewing, understanding and storytelling with operational/online (Adobe Clickstream)/sales/financial data, proactively identifying trends in the business and providing actionable business insights to drive strategic and operational decisions. A successful Senior Insights Business Analyst will possess and demonstrate strong leadership skills, analytical ability, communication, cross functional collaboration, and a flexibility to take on an array of projects.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

20%-Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associates.
20%-Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis – develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization.
20%-Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize.
20%-Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors.
20%-Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

For Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City residents: The pay range for this position is between $70,000/yr and $150,000/yr. Starting salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive financial and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position

Standard Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
3-5 years

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working within a retail organization or corporate strategic planning group
Experience extracting data and generating insights from large transactional data sets
Familiarity with data mining & statistical methods (regression, factor analysis, clustering, etc)
Experience with creative data visualization techniques
Masters degree in Data Science/Analytics
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data using various quantitative analysis techniques
Strong ability to produce board-level presentations and succinctly summarize approach & results
Strong verbal and written communications skills at all levels; ability to communicate complex customer behavior information to both functional partners and Executive Leadership
Experience leading high performing teams Consulting management and/or project management.
Strong quantitative skills such as statistics and data analysis.
Problem solving Strong Operations, Retail and/or field knowledge
Excellent skills at using both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
