2022 SUMMER INTERN – SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

The Vehicle Services intern works with Technology, Product, and Operations teams to review and analyze business needs and develop process solutions, tools, and enhancements to resolve operational issues. This role may involve data analysis, requirements gathering, generating process documentation, and implementing and testing solutions. This team member plays a key role in Agile planning and reducing technical debt in alignment with Product and Technology roadmaps with a focus on analysis and recommendations for a wide range of applications.

Responsibilities:

Work with Product team to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions to support field operations.
Enhance or develop processes or operational tools using a variety of web-based tools and applications
Develop clear understanding of business needs and root causes of operational issues
Work with end users to gather feedback, test, and debug applications as needed
Support training and documentation needs to facilitate product implementations
Participate in each part of the development lifecycle – discovery, elaboration, design, development, testing, and delivery
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related program (Junior or Senior classification)
Overall GPA of 3.0 or above
Experience realizing applications from conception and design to implementation
Experience in analysis, design, and programming
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relational skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Self-motivated, innovative, willing to take direction, mature and responsible
Experience coding for both frontend and backendEx: frontend languages such as Javascript, Dart, or Flutter
Ex: backend technologies such as AWS or databases using languages like Ruby or PHP
