Jean Holley

Jean is a decisive, results-driven global business leader with experience successfully developing strategic plans, executing turnarounds and leveraging technologies. Her leadership style drives measurable results through the eyes of a customer while balancing shareholder interests. She is collaborative, innovative, with an eye for talent, building a diverse high-performance culture. At the board level, Jean’s expertise includes strategy, audit and risk management, activist communications, corporate culture, compensation, governance and technology including cyber security.

Jean has served on OneSpan’s (Nasdaq: OSPN) board as an independent Director since 2006. She chairs the Governance committee where she has been responsible for the recruitment, evaluation and rotation of board members.  She also serves on the Audit and Compensation committees. During her board tenure the company has completed multiple acquisitions, integrations and a complete rebranding which included renaming the company from VASCO Data Security to OneSpan. OneSpan provides digital security solutions to global banks and enterprises around the world.

Jean also serves on Herc Holding’s (NYSE: HRI) board as an independent Director since 2017. She is on the Audit and Finance Committees.  During her tenure the company completed the separation (spin off) from Hertz which included establishing a new management team, executing a transaction services agreement (TSA) while addressing a number of risk management issues.

She is the former Global CIO for Brambles, global leader in supply chain & logistics solutions.  She was a member of the executive team, responsible for technology trends and industry futures for supply chain and logistics including cyber security, digital strategies, the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data/Analytics and disruptive technologies. Holley was directly responsible for execution of business/IT strategies, acquisition and divestiture strategies, cyber security and global IT operations. Prior to Brambles, Holley served as the CIO for Tellabs.  As a member of the executive team she was responsible for IT strategy, execution, outsourcing and global operations. Holley also served as CIO for USG Corp and various leadership positions for Waste Management, Digital Equipment Corp and Inland Steel.

Holley also served on Sapphire Ventures Advisory Board, Georgia CIO Board in Atlanta, the Board of Trustees for Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) and Missouri University Science & Technology. She worked on multiple key strategic initiatives including renaming and rebranding the university, marketing to emphasize STEM increasing engineering and technology enrollment.

In 2016 Jean was named “Georgia CIO of the Year” for her leadership in global large enterprise. Holley has also been inducted into the Women in Science & Engineering Hall of Fame at Missouri University Science & Technology, where she also received an honorary professional degree. She received the Spotlight Award from the Chicago Software Assoc, has been listed by ComputerWorld as one of the top 100 CIOs, and received the “CIO of the Year” award from the Association of IT Professionals (AITP).

Jean holds a BS from Missouri University Science & Technology and an MS from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
