Cox Automotive is seeking a Lead iOS Developer for a full-time employee position based in our Carmel, IN office. This will be hybrid” work-from-home role requiring the selected candidate to come into our Carmel office approximately once a week, and potentially up to 10 times a month.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead iOS Developer to take charge of our iOS development team. As the Lead iOS Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of innovative and high-quality iOS applications. You will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our iOS projects and guiding the team to achieve excellence. The ideal candidate should have 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in iOS app development, with expertise in iOS essentials, Swift, SwiftUI, xCode, SQLite, and familiarity with bitrise.io for continuous integration and deployment.
What you will be doing :
Lead and mentor the iOS development team, providing technical guidance, and driving the delivery of exceptional iOS applications.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable iOS application architectures using Swift and SwiftUI.
Ensure that the iOS apps meet the highest standards of user experience, performance, and security.
Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and memory usage to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience across various iOS devices.
Conduct code reviews, identify areas of improvement, and promote best practices to maintain code quality and consistency.
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, bugs, and challenges related to iOS app development.
Implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and stability of iOS applications.
Utilize bitrise.io for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the development and release process.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in iOS development, Swift, SwiftUI, and other relevant technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
What we require from you :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 6+ years of relevant work experience; or a Master’s degree plus 4+ years of relevant work experience; or a PhD plus 1+ years of relevant experience
In lieu of a degree, qualified candidates would require 10+ years of relevant professional experience
Proven experience in iOS app development with a strong portfolio of successfully launched applications on the App Store.
Extensive proficiency in Swift and solid experience with iOS app development essentials, including UIKit, Core Data, and Grand Central Dispatch.
Strong expertise in SwiftUI to build modern and responsive user interfaces for iOS applications.
In-depth knowledge of xCode, Interface Builder, and other iOS development tools.
Experience with SQLite and other data storage technologies in iOS applications.
Familiarity with bitrise.io for continuous integration and deployment will be a significant advantage.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards successful project delivery.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
