Meet Shelli Brunswick.
Shelli Brunswick, COO of Space Foundation, brings a broad perspective and deep vision of the global space ecosystem — from a distinguished career as a space acquisition and program management leader and congressional liaison for the U.S. Air Force to her current role overseeing Space Foundation’s three primary divisions: Center for Innovation and Education, Symposium 365, and Global Alliance.
She has published articles in consumer, technology, and space-related journals, including SpaceNews and Forbes Technology Council. She is a highly sought-after keynote speaker. She has delivered more than 100 speeches and presentations in 2022 alone on navigating career success and workforce development to audiences in Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North and South America. As a thought leader, she is invited to speak at various think tanks, such as the Hudson Institute and the Wilson Center, to discuss innovation, technology, and workforce development. And she has participated in research projects for both NASA and ESA to better understand the future of the global space system and its implications over the coming decades.
It was an amazing honor to be the Commencement Speaker at my alma mater, Colorado State University-Pueblo, on May 8th, 2022 at both the 8:30 am and 12:00 pm ceremonies.
I am grateful to President Timothy Mottet and the faculty for this invitation. This is the highlight of my 28-year journey since graduating.
I had the privilege of meeting with several of the graduating students and they shared how CSU-Pueblo has created a community for them. It’s become a family. It has encouraged them to become better people. And, one of the greatest lessons they learned, is it doesn’t matter your social class or background, you have the ability to change your life.
CSU-Pueblo has given them the knowledge, skills and ability to navigate the future.

As a Board Member for the Global Women Leaders Committee (GWLC) Executive Council and USA Country Office, I enjoyed catching up with fellow WBAF colleagues, Board Members, and Leaders to discuss how we can collaborate to create more access to smart finance.
I shared insights from our GWLC, ‘Access to Smart Finance – A White Paper to Shape the Future of Female Entrepreneurship’. Key findings related to financial inclusion, know-how expertise provided to women entrepreneurs from investors, mentoring/training, and access to investor networks for business scaling purposes. Also highlighted is the need for women to occupy board seats and policymaking positions, as leaders, along with encouraging more women to become investors.
