Kassundra Evans
Kassundra Evans, a proud native of Houston, Texas, is an IT Analyst at Graphic Packaging International and a 2024 graduate of the WIT Single Moms Program. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Huston-Tillotson University and is a devoted mother, poet, and problem solver. As a single mom forging her path in the tech industry, Kassundra has built her career on resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to growth.
Rooted in her values—God, family, and friendship—she is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where others feel supported and empowered. Whether she’s solving IT challenges, writing poetry, or playing Uno with her son, Kassundra approaches life with intention, grace, and heart.
Being nominated is a testament to her journey and the strength of the community that continues to uplift her. She is honored by the recognition and hopes her story inspires other women to pursue their purpose with courage and confidence.

Cheliya Green
Cheliya Green is a dedicated cybersecurity student, shift manager, and single mother driven to create a better future for her daughter. Currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity with aspirations to become a digital forensic examiner, she is passionate about increasing representation for women and minorities in tech.
Cheliya brings strong leadership and problem-solving skills from her management experience and mentors other women pursuing technology careers. She plans to launch a nonprofit to support at-risk youth by expanding access to STEM education in underserved communities. Cheliya was honored with the Dean’s List Award for academic excellence and continues to embody the mission of Women in Technology by breaking barriers and inspiring others to do the same.

Laura Newberry-Henderson
Laura is a dedicated mother and cybersecurity professional who completed her training through the Single Mothers Program at Emory. She currently works at Amazon as an Investigation Specialist, gaining valuable experience that supports her goal of transitioning into digital forensics. Laura is actively studying for the CompTIA Security+ certification and taking Amazon sponsored courses in artificial intelligence to expand her technical skills.
With a strong background in banking, leadership, and customer service, she brings critical thinking, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to protecting digital environments. Laura is passionate about inspiring other women and single mothers to pursue their goals with confidence, purpose, and resilience.
