While we celebrate the achievements of all our WIT Girl of the Year winners, this year we especially want to highlight the journey of our 2020 winner, Bavisha Rajesh. Bavisha’s story exemplifies the transformative power of this award and serves as an inspiring example for future nominees.

Bavisha Rajesh is now an honors student at Georgia Institute of Technology, a milestone she attributes largely to the WIT Girl of the Year scholarship. Reflecting on her experience, Bavisha shares, “Receiving the WIT Girl of the Year scholarship opened the door to higher education for me, making it possible to attend Georgia Tech and pursue my passion in computer science. This scholarship was a huge turning point in my life, providing me with the support I needed and the foundation for my future success.”

The scholarship did more than just cover educational expenses; it provided Bavisha with the confidence and resources to focus on her studies and extracurricular activities. The support she received allowed her to fully immerse herself in her academic journey, which has greatly contributed to her personal and professional growth.
