Worth It: Navigating the Gap Between What You’re Giving and What You’re Getting

Many mid-career women in technology are doing more than is recognized. They carry meaningful responsibility, deliver strong results, and navigate organizational dynamics that are not always fair. And many do it without ever asking the question that matters most: is this worth my continued investment?

This WIT Technology Uncorked session examines that question directly. Through candid conversation with senior women who have evaluated their own situations and made deliberate choices, participants will explore:

  • What the opportunity gap looks and feels like from inside a mid-career trajectory
  • How to access whether your organization is delivering on what it owes you
  • What options exist beyond staying silent or leaving
  • How to move forward with clarity and intention

Panelists include:

  • Kerri Sauer (Moderator) – FinTech & Technology Leader
  • Akhila Gullapalli – Vice President of Data & Tech at Fiserv
  • April Lake – Chief Information Officer at Novelis
  • Windy Nicholson – Tech Executive & Non-Profit Board President
  • Dorren Schmitt, Ph.D. – Vice President, IT Strategy & Innovation IT & Cybersecurity at Allen Media Group
  • Leanne West – Chief Engineer Pediatric Technologies at Georgia Tech, Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Shriners Children’s, President at International Children’s Advisory Network

The evening is designed for mid-career women and will move from a panel conversation to guided small-group discussion, where participants apply what they hear to their own careers. Every participant will leave with a named next step. Wine and appetizers will be provided.
