About Us

A community for women and the companies who need them

Helping more women build successful careers in tech

We support women and girls at every stage of their technology career journeys — from middle schoolers to mid-career professionals to C-suite executives. WIT is where women find peers and mentors, build skills and confidence, and celebrate each other’s achievements.

We also help leading companies bridge the talent gap that’s holding them back. Our programs and events connect companies with talented women and help them support and retain current employees.

Since 1992, WIT has built a community like no other

WIT creates possibilities for more women to explore, pursue, persist, and lead in technology careers across industries. Through targeted programming, inspiring events, and partnerships with leading tech companies, we give women the support they need to thrive.

I was looking for a community that genuinely supports women as they grow - not just professionally, but confidently.

Nicole Rebolledo

I was drawn to the opportunity to contribute to a community that not only supports ambition but actively equips women to turn their aspirations into tangible outcomes.

Dawn Moore

My favorite part about volunteering with WIT is the people and relationships built - I’ve had the chance to learn from amazing individuals, support one another, and build some great friendships!

Jessica Tyner

I can truly say that WIT has helped shape my career.

At ADP, we believe in unlocking potential, not only for our clients and their businesses, but for our people, our communities, and the world around us. Our strategic partnership with organizations like WIT helps open doors for girls and women in STEM, supporting their growth and empowerment from the classroom to the boardroom. Through workplace giving and the generosity of our associates, who volunteer their time, knowledge, and experience, we are helping create stronger communities and brighter futures.

Majula Ganta, Senior Director, ADP

I feel like I got the most out of this event than any other networking event I’ve been to in a very long time.

At Adapture, we believe the future of technology is built by the broadest possible range of minds, and that means showing up for organizations that are making that future a reality. WIT’s mission aligns directly with how we think about building a stronger tech community. At Southwire, we believe in the power of diversity and the incredible potential that women bring to the technology field. Supporting WIT is more than just a partnership for us—it’s a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where women can thrive and lead. By empowering women in technology, we’re not only helping to bridge the gender gap but also driving innovation and progress within the industry. Carolyn Pleiss, CIO, Cox Enterprises

I came into this program somewhat lost about my field and not knowing anyone. I wanted to learn more about the different ways I could stand out. This mentorship program helped me learn what recruiters are looking for.

Participant, WIT Campus Mentorship

The most wonderful connections I’ve made! Being part of a group of driven women has helped me to believe in myself more, being capable to accomplish big things. I’ve even made a close friend here!

This program changed how I think about my future.

WIT Girls Job Shadow Participant

I’ve been involved with Women in Technology since my freshman year of high school, and I credit the WIT Girls program with giving me an early foundation in technology and the confidence to pursue it seriously. As I transitioned into college, staying consistently engaged became more challenging. The WIT Campus Mentorship Program changed that. It provided a structured, low-friction way to stay involved while continuing to grow professionally. My mentor was consistently supportive and approachable, and learning from someone operating at a high level in the industry gave me a much clearer understanding of how to think about long-term positioning, skill development, and navigating a rapidly evolving field.

Stuti Thummala, WIT Campus Mentorship Program

Participating in the WIT Connect Executive Experience has been incredibly valuable. One connection turned into a partnership that still delivers mutual value today.

Carolyn Pleiss, CIO, Cox Enterprises

For our community, WIT Awards signals progress. It’s a reminder that there is a seat at the table for you - and that table is expanding and we’re making room for others, just like all of us.

Kateau James, 2025 WIT Awards Winner

WIT has fundamentally changed the lives of women, their families, the companies who employed WIT program graduates, and the Atlanta community. WIT is a game-changer, and I am so proud to support its programs through company sponsorship, ongoing engagement, and as a mentor.

Building relationships with like-minded individuals creates a sense of belonging and community. Experiencing the satisfaction of making a positive difference in others lives are my biggest rewards.
