Know Before You Go

Special Instructions – VIP Reception:

  • There are 12 VIP Virtual Reception Rooms
  • Each room will hold 15 attendees at a time
  • You can move in an out of each Virtual VIP Reception Room as many times as you want enabling you to visit with as many VIP guests as you would like.
  • If you move to a Virtual VIP Reception Room that is full, the WIT Moderator will hold you in a waiting room until a seat opens or you can select another room.
  • Please join early and claim your spot. Each guest spot is first come first serve.

WIT Connect Virtual: Frequently Asked Questions

What browser should I use for the event?

We recommend Google Chrome for the best results.

Can I watch the event on my phone?

While we do support mobile, we have designed the user interface for desktop and tablet viewing.

I don’t see a video, what is happening?

If you get to the page before the stream starts, you may need to refresh the page when you believe the live stream video should be showing.

The live stream seems glitchy, what is wrong?

First, you should refresh the browser. If there are still streaming issues after you have already refreshed the page, it is most likely your internet speed. To test your internet speed, go to https://www.speedtest.net/. It is recommended that viewers have 5 – 10mbps. For more information about Vimeo live streaming requirements visit https://help.livestream.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002050908-Requirements-Supported-Browsers

How do I reset my password?

After registering with your event organizer, you should have received an email containing this reset password link: https://www.vlinkevents.com/change-password/. Follow this link, enter your email, and look in your inbox for the change password email from us, vLink Solutions. If you can’t find it at first, check your junk folder. Once you find the email with the link in it, click on the link, and you will reach a page where you can enter your new event password.

Why can’t I join the chat?

To join the chat, you must first click on the chat box in the bottom right-hand side of the screen labeled “Join the Discussion” and then log into the event. You may need to allow the browser to access your video camera and microphone to one to one call.

How do I direct chat with someone?

You can one to one chat two different ways, but first you will want to make sure that you are already logged in to the event and able to chat. One option is to click on their name in the main group chat. The other way you can start a direct chat with someone by clicking on the room name, then click “view members”, select the attendee who you would like to chat directly with.

How do I navigate to a different room?

Depending on what room you are in, the navigation bar will either be on the left or right side of the screen. If you are in the event lobby, the navigation bar is on the right side of the screen. If you are in any other room the navigation bar is on the left. You will first have to click the small arrow and then navigate to the room that you would like to visit.
