2025 marks 25 consecutive years of the WIT Awards – spotlighting the bold, brilliant women who are transforming our communities and leading across the technology landscape.

Where and when do the WIT Awards happen?

The WIT Awards will be held on Thursday, October 23, at the Georgia Aquarium (242 Ivan Allen Jr Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30313). VIP reception begins at 5:00PM & General reception begins at 5:30PM. The event will honor women in technology and announce this year’s award winners.

What is the purpose of the WIT Awards?

The WIT Awards align directly with the mission of WIT, which is to create opportunities for women and girls to explore, pursue, persist, and lead in technology careers by providing a powerful platform for recognition, visibility, and inspiration at every stage of the tech career pipeline. This year’s finalists were judged on September 12th and the winners will be revealed during the awards ceremony at the event.

Who can attend the WIT Awards?

Anyone ready to support the empowerment of women and girls in technology! Partnership opportunities are available, so please reach out to partnerships@mywit.org for more information. Individual general admission ticket sales and the opportunity to secure a table for 10 can be purchased, here (note that when this opportunity is sold out, the link will no longer work!). 

What is the dress code for the event?

The dress code for the WIT Awards is cocktail. The black-tie requirement has been removed, so you can dress to impress while embracing a slightly more relaxed formal attire.

Is there a virtual attendance option?

There will be no virtual attendance for the WIT Awards this year. We look forward to welcoming everyone in person to enjoy the full experience.

What are the hotel options nearby?

For those traveling to attend, here are three hotels within walking distance of the Georgia Aquarium:

• Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown – A 3-minute walk from the Aquarium.
• Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park – Just 2 minutes away from the Aquarium.
• Hyatt Place Atlanta/Centennial Park – Located 5 minutes from the event venue.

Is parking available?

Yes! Parking is available on-site at the Georgia Aquarium. Additional parking details, including rates, will be provided closer to the event.

Can I nominate someone for an award?

Nominations open early April each year and will stay open until the end of May!

How can I support WIT’s mission if I can’t attend the event?

Even if you cannot attend, you can still support WIT’s mission to empower women in technology by donating here or by participating in other upcoming WIT events.
