I started volunteering with WIT because I wanted to be part of a community that uplifts and empowers women in technology. As someone working in a male-dominated industry, I understand how important representation, mentorship, and support are. WIT gave me a space to give back, connect with like-minded women, and help others grow their careers with confidence.

The most rewarding part has been experiencing the power of community. Every event reminds me how impactful it is when women come together to support and uplift each other. I’ve had the chance to witness so many moments of encouragement, inspiration, and growth, and being even a small part of that feels incredibly meaningful.

I have a special place in my heart for the Single Mothers program. As someone raised by a single mother, I understand how powerful it is to have a support system and resources that help you move forward, even when life feels overwhelming. That kind of impact stays with you forever.

I am a full time professional, AND a full time student, but even with a packed schedule, WIT keeps me grounded and inspired. Outside of that, I am very passionate about neuroscience, and love learning new things in general, and I am currently building a fashion brand.

Watching my mom raise me on her own taught me grit and determination. She modeled what it means to keep going, even when the odds are stacked against you, and that strength shaped who I am today.

Sonoma, It’s a dream. Theres wine, lambs, endless mexican restaurants, and beautiful scenery, what more could I want?
