Information Technology expertise is highly valued in hundreds of industries worldwide and underpins every job today.
WIT, in partnership with Emory University, has developed a specialized course just for women that offers a quick and affordable pathway to learning the fundamentals (the basics) of Information Technology. This course will serve as a prerequisite for beginners entering into the Cyber Security or Data Analytics courses offered by WIT Career ConneXions. Whether you need a refresher course or are new to the world of IT, this course will teach you all that you need to know.
Information Technology Fundamentals introduces you to the essential technical and professional skills required for students to earn program certificates and pursue specialized programs leading to professional careers in Information Technology. This course is designed for individuals who are curious about IT and might have some interest in pursuing a career in the field but don’t know where and how to get started. The course content includes hardware, software, programming, networking, database management, computer security, cloud computing, data science, application of IT in business, and computer careers.
