Your opportunity

We’re looking for a Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team in Midtown Atlanta GA.

You’ll be responsible for  architecture, design, development, and support of the Next Gen Lighting Control System and increasing customer value through the platform..

What you’ll do

Work with Feature Leads, Product Marketing, and Field service to create features that drive value for the customer.
Create the designs and develop software for the WaveLinx platform.
Engage in ideation sessions, research and investigations, and Proof of Concepts to generate intellectual property to extend Cooper Lighting Solution’s technological lead in the market.
Create software release plan with key Milestones to identify progress towards Feature, System Releases
Work on Embedded Devices with Microcontrollers as well as Linux based Embedded Gateways. Opportunity to work on broader Wireless technologies & Gateway Integration with Cloud Services and Systems for Remote capabilities
What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical discipline from an accredited institution
7+ years of experience in developing Embedded Linux based products using OpenWRT , Yocto
5+ years of experience working with Embedded Firmware interfacing with Hardare using Modern microcontrollers
Experience with scripting languages for rapid prototyping
Experience with Embedded C and Object Oriented Programming using C++
Experienced in product delivery from PoC , platform creation, application understanding, release to internal and external stakeholders.
