Your opportunity
We’re looking for an Optical Support Technician to join our Optical Engineering Team in Peachtree City GA.
You’ll be responsible for energy compliance, and photometric technical staff to deliver the required performance data on lighting product development projects. The responsibilities include developing thermal, electrical, and photometric test plans in conjunction with our energy compliance personnel; assembling initial prototypes to usher through the labs to ensure a complete set of data is generated to satisfy the needs of internal marketing desires and third-party energy regulators; and reviewing obtained data for completeness and correctness.

What you’ll do
Support the Optical and Energy Compliance Engineering team in:
Prepare, coordinate, and reconfigure test samples under the direction of an optical engineer and in conjunction with the photometric lab staff so data is obtained in an efficient manner
Develop complete set of photometric files for publication
Organize and enter data into the SharePoint database
What you’ll need
Associates Degree in Technical discipline and/or Military training certification equivalent
Ability to interpret and generate photometric test plans based on energy compliance requirements
Ability to use multiple software packages efficiently including SharePoint, Microsoft Office
Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly and testing
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
