The QTS Leadership Development Program (QLDP) – Technology Track is designed to prepare high potential candidates to take on roles at QTS leading teams, functions, and/or P&Ls. The QLDP is an 18 to 24 month program during which participating Project Managers (PMs) will go through four rotations in the different Operations functions focused on technology enablement (1. Data Center Infrastructure Management, 2. Product Development, 3. Security Operations, and 4. Technology Operations).  In each rotation, PMs will lead a function-specific process improvement project while developing a solid understanding of that function’s responsibilities and challenges.  In addition to the rotations, the candidate will identify and execute a capstone project over the duration of the program.

Upon completion of the QLDP, QTS leadership will work with the participant to identify a leadership role in the company that matches their interests and skill set. Placement opportunities will not be limited to the Technology organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

Lead process improvement and business process reengineering efforts in critical areas directly impacting global operations, customer experience, technology platform & security, digital transformation, and strategy/analytics.
Develop solid understanding of the data center industry, QTS product offering, and QTS operating model.
Form and manage cross-functional project teams to achieve objectives.
Analyze the operational and financial impacts of proposed solutions to make impactful recommendations.
Regularly present findings to Technology and QTS leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, Finance, or Economics.
Four or more years of professional experience.
Superior people skills – must be able to work effectively with multiple business groups including sales, engineering, legal and finance, and with all levels of the organization from senior executives to support staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree (technical Master’s degree or MBA)
Seven or more years of professional experience.
Two or more years in a supervisory role.
Experience in technology, construction, engineering, or energy sectors.
Solid proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Process Improvement Certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
Management consulting experience.
Geographic flexibility within two years.
