The Jira Administrator is responsible for the implementation of QTS’s Jira instance, and subsequent ongoing support, enhancement and integration of the platform, as well as managing users, projects and troubleshooting. The JIRA platform will be used cross-functionally within QTS, with the Jira Admin interacting with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Service Delivery Platform (SDP) and other platforms as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

Implement, configure and maintain Jira for QTS
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new Jira projects and enhancements
Creates projects in Jira with workflows, reports, permission schemes to meet the business needs
Collaborate with internal customers to understand requirements for the planning and release processes in support of each application’s respective release calendar
Manage user permissions for tools according to the needs of the projects and teams
Provide ideas for using Jira more efficiently to meet business needs and analyze, review and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
Create and maintain technical and user facing documentation to support the QTS Jira platform
Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques
Provide troubleshooting and support for Jira/Confluence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field or equivalent professional experience
Three or more years of hands-on experience as an administrator with Jira and Confluence (cloud)
One or more year of experience working on Scrum teams
Fluency in SQL, JQL
Experience integrating Jira, Confluence with other applications using REST APIs and using/extending REST API using Java for Jira/Confluence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Jira Administrator for Cloud Certification
Experience in the design, development and implementation of Atlassian tools and customization, primarily Jira
Experience with a positive outcome in enabling enterprise-level processes using Jira and Confluence
Experience creating and managing reports on Jira and supported reporting applications

Able to work independently with minimal guidance in a rapidly changing environment
Process-oriented mindset and ability to root cause issues/problems
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and effective communication, both written and spoken
Strong work ethic and the ability to work with diverse teams across different time
