Are you a problem solver who is highly motivated to devise solutions that cleverly align technology to deliver product features that amaze customers?  As a Technical Architect at Equifax, you will partner with the business (primarily technology and product) to design and plan product software solutions, alongside providing leadership, and support to development teams.  You excel at driving business value through technology and addressing technical issues and needs.

What you’ll do

You will evolve an enterprise architecture to support a large technology transformation across existing applications and environments
You understand overall vision and objectives and solve business problems using the right set of technical tools and processes
You have the ability to work within pressurized environments while making critical decisions
You understand various aspects of architecture practices: business, application, data, security, infrastructure and governance
You can successfully work with Product Architects to define and document technical architecture for products
You will be responsible for signs off on final design approaches

What experience you need

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in technology architecture, or “lead” technology-focused roles
  • Minimum of 8 years experience working with with different architecture and design patterns and tools
  • Minimum of 8 years experience working with different architecture and design patterns and tools
  • Minimum of 3 years experience driving and leading large-scale architectural projects
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in reviewing and selecting Technical and Applications Architectures solutions
  • Minimum of 3 years working with an “Enterprise Architecture” tool (e.g. Ardoq, Orbus iServer, LeanIX,) to include familiarity with related frameworks and documentation standards.

What could set you apart

  • Able to switch hats between being a “technology architect” and a “business architect”.  The business architect has the knowledge and ability to document product requirements (or to mentor Product Architects to do so); use cases, business capabilities (4 level).
  • Familiarity with a running EA program to govern business capabilities relative to product, in conjunction with multiple planning paths (technology, product, infrastructure, etc)
  • Working knowledge of architecture frameworks, from legacy through to fully real time, distributed, data-in-motion.
  • You have experience in reviewing and selecting Technical and Applications Architectures solutions
  • You have experience with a variety of modern programming languages and web-based development frameworks
  • You are able to clearly communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences – listening and providing answers
