Salesforce Product Mgr – Marketing  Cox Business seeks a strong Product Manager fluent in processes and underlying tools supporting Marketing in the SalesForce ecosystem at Cox Business. Will be hands on understanding customer & boundary partner needs and strategies (e.g. Product Managers for Digital, Data & Sales) and able to translate those needs into technical specifications within the SalesForce suite of tools supporting Marketing (Sales Cloud, Pardot, Marketing Cloud, Interaction Studio, CDP, Datorama, back-end data). Partners with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on ideas and solutions as well as implementation of those solutions to drive results in a high business impact environment. Routinely called upon to apply mastery of existing and emerging technologies, best-practices, and processes. A creative thinker who challenges the status quo, while partnering to enable their stakeholder’s business strategy through driving a robust Marketing tools & technology experience. Serves as a SME to provide tactical guidance and support to lower level staff by answering questions and aiding in resolving difficult issues. Perceived as subject matter expert in Marketing Technology solutions.

SUMMARY:

Own the product vision for your product area. Ensure that it aligns with the overall product and company vision. Be an expert on the domain, the market, and the trends. Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context, and understand where we are going.
Represent the customer. Be the champion and voice of other internal teams and customers. Build impactful, personal customer relationships. Bring the customer’s voice into the creation process. Own requirements, specifications, and release plans.
Communicate clearly and efficiently. Define expectations for engineering teams and hold everyone accountable to success and failures. Work closely with product marketing managers to promote your products both internally and externally and ensure a cohesive message.
Collaborate and communicate across functions. We win or lose as a team. Product managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. A collaborative attitude is essential to the job.
Manage the roadmap. Make tough tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think long term. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap.
Measure success. Own the measures used to define success for your product. Success measures must be defined at the inception of a product and tracked throughout its lifecycle. Make measures visible to all stakeholders and interpret them into actionable conclusions and new hypotheses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess business process needs and identify technical capabilities needed.
  • Provide guidance to clients on leading practices and domain expertise.
  • Participate in client workshops and functional elicitation sessions.
  • Strong JIRA experience, ability to create clear stories with all the details.
  • Track and report project status using JIRA and Confluence to stakeholders and management teams
  • Articulate significant gaps between client current state versus desired future state.
  • Assist technical leads in performing hands-on solution design, solution architecture, architecture roadmaps, prototyping, proofs-of-concept, and development tasks as required in support of current and new projects.
  • Ensure the solution is scalable and meets overall business requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between the Technical team, Functional team, Business Functions, and vendor to drive Salesforce Marketing implementations.
  • Be recognized as a functional expert in Salesforce platform in Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Pardot, and CDP

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum

•    7 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, etc.) •    5 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
•    Requires strong knowledge of SalesForce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Pardot & CDP
•    Requires strong knowledge of common functional Marketing activities such as campaigning segmenting & targeting, lead-list sourcing & provisioning, marketing analytics & predictive scoring, account-based marketing, digital marketing.
•    Requires strong knowledge of B2B (business-to-business) data from third-party providers such as Dun & Bradstreet
•    Familiar with the intricacies & nuance of data about B2B customers, including hierarchies, multiple-locations, DBA/tradestyles, franchises, etc.
•    Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Preferred

•    BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Marketing, Business, etc.).   •    3 or more years of experience in a management role preferred
•    Experience in telecommunications industry desired
•    Prefer certification in SalesForce Marketing Cloud credentials (Marketing Cloud Administrator/Consultant/Developer/Email Specialist, Pardot Consultant/Specialist)
