The Techncial Data Analyst II manages the development, accuracy, and distribution of carrier serviceability lists in close coordination with internal and external partners. The role is responsible to ensure high quality data is delivered in a series of analytics and reporting for our user base. The role is responsible for the implementation of projects to meet business initiatives, process improvement, and increasing order flow through accuracy and automation. This role analyzes existing serviceability data and distribution methods to promote effective operations through standardization, process improvement, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods.
The Analyst will work closely with our external and internal business partners/vendors to implement new ways of facilitating carrier customers to order service. The role facilitates communication across multiple operational groups, provides training on the systems used, and works to improve sales results through serviceability lists accuracy and site address integrity. The successful candidate will improve sales results, overall effectiveness, and productivity of the carrier sales team by driving efficiencies via technical aptitude and process improvement. This role will work closely with our order management and sales team to develop ad hoc tools and reports.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Provides technical aptitude within the carrier sales support organization to enhance internal and external customer experience
Ensures support and fulfillment functions via appropriate communication and workflow across departments.
Communicates company and department goals, capabilities and information to staff, department leads, cross functional departments and stakeholders effectively.
Partners with stakeholders to identify improvements to processes and data delivery using technical aptitude to deliver ad hoc tools, reporting and analytics with focus on the needs of the business.
Do pilot testing, implementing best data practices and optimizing workflow to enhance performance and drive efficiencies in the organization to meet or exceed customer and business expectations.
Reviews and translates customer escalations, provides solutions and supports team to execute appropriate solutions and/or responses. Develops processes to improve workflow and department efficiency.
Provides for data base management to support the integrity of data for enterprise supported tools and applications.
Understand requirements, design and develop the reports / analytics identifying data quality issues.
Develop, maintain, and validate data quality standards
Perform data quality assessment and measurement
Requirements gatherings from users for Reporting and analytics development
Take existing reporting to perform data blending as needed to serve business needs
Create automation tools in excel consists of writing complex formulas, macros etc.
Identifies strengths and weaknesses of the existing reports, suggests areas of improvement, and helps enhance existing data reports to meet evolving requirements.
Communicates effectively with business partners to identify needs, evaluate options and identify opportunities and solutions.
2 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. Engineering, Information Technology, etc.)
Working experience in writing SQL reports, report generation and automation with SQL, Oracle SQL Developer, OBIEE Reporting, excel, Tableau and/or similar tools.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience creating Data quality dashboards with visualization tools such as tableau
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be flexible, self-starter, ability to solve problems, develop solutions, multi-task and maintain deadlines
Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment.
Must be able to adapt quickly, work independently and work with minimal supervision
Ability to think strategically
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of the organization
Experience in a Cable MSO or Telco company in reporting and/or analytics role, desired.
Prior Granite or similar IMS (inventory management systems) experience as a user and/or report development – e.g., Circuit design, Order management and/or engineering inventory reporting
Prior experience with Carrier specific inventory systems and address validation tools (e.g., Granite, Granite Works, CLONES, CABS, ICOMS, GIS Systems and/or similar systems).
Prior PM and/or User training experience desired.
2+ years Telecom experience
BS/BA in related discipline highly desired.
Prior experience with CABS system is highly desired
Prior experience using REST Api to aggregate data from varying sources
Prior experience parsing JSON data from API’s to consumable formats for the user base
Prior data ETL tools experience
Requires working knowledge on highly available, transactional database with a large volume data set.
Experience working with large datasets, applying analytical techniques and data modeling
Tableau reporting and/or dashboard/analytics development
