Role Summary
Consults with external customers to capture and document business requirements and processes to support the scoping, planning, design and development of remote patient monitoring solutions. Performs research and fact-finding to create business requirements for development of end-user software programs, operational procedures and support. Communicates these business requirements and processes and their implications to technical and non-technical team members to ensure that software applications developed accurately meet customer’s goals.  Business Analysts create system requirements, collaborating with the design teams to determine that application, database, & other system impacts based on the requirements. The Business Analyst works closely with other members of the product development and technical teams to ensure all requirements are addressed in the solution design.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
•    Create Business Requirements for software and/or hardware product development using the Business Process and Analysis (BPA) methodology as determined by the project sponsor
•    Collaborate with Business and Technology stakeholders to review and refine business requirements and use cases to ensure they are clear, concise and traceable; and to ensure business requirements will be satisfied by the appropriate teams / applications.
•    Identify project stakeholders, risks and benefits of alternate designs; document assumptions; assess project impact of system changes to users, internal and external customers
•    Develop program requirements, including process flows and use cases
•    Conduct program process flow reviews with project stakeholders and document consumers to ensure completeness and adherence to business requirements
•    Consult with external customers, cross-functional team members and external vendors to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes to define system requirements
•    Update and map Business Requirements in the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
•    Review Architecture, Engineering and Application Development designs and QA / UAT test plans to ensure requirements are met and the RTM is updated as required
•    Develop test plans for software testing and debugging plans to ensure requirements are met
•    Proactively analyzes and documents healthcare solutions and clinical workflows
•    Identifies risks/pitfalls and articulates possible options
•    Knowledge of the business may be deep in one functional area with broad understanding of other functional areas.
•    Knowledge sharing and mentoring of lower level team members is customary
•    Sphere of relationship and influence is within team, with key stakeholders & with senior management
•    Lead requirements gathering meetings

Qualifications:
Minimum
•    5 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role with a commercial healthcare software company
•    Experienced practitioner of Agile Scrum and Kanban software development methods
•    3 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
•    Experienced practitioner of Agile Scrum and Kanban software development methods
•    Requires strong knowledge of commercial software product development, database and database design and software testing / Quality Assurance.
•    Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Preferred
•    BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Information Systems etc.).
•    Experience in commercial healthcare software development
