Attend exclusive sessions featuring panels of professionals for a Career Exploration Workshop. As the next generation of female leaders, be inspired by the shared journeys, insights, and lessons of current female leaders.
These workshops are offered free-of-charge to local girls considering careers in science, technology, math and engineering and are often held at local middle and high schools.
Technology-related careers in Georgia are steadily increasing, and there are many job openings for women who take advantage! Meet some of Atlanta’s coolest women in technology and learn more about how you can have a career with boundless opportunities! You’ll learn how these women got their start in technology, hear about the day-to-day excitement a career in technology offers, and see what your future holds when your diploma is in science, technology, math or engineering.
WIT Girls had a booth at the 2018 Science Palooza hosted by Holy Innocents Episcopal School. HIES Science National Honor Society students create and run their own booths in the gym, allowing guests to learn about STEM ideas in the world around them through interactive displays and demonstrations.
Since 1992, Women in Technology (WIT) has been a formidable force-an engine of change and innovation-that helps women and girls break through barriers and advance opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). WIT works to empower and educate women and girls about opportunities in STEAM by educating middle and high school girls, and young women in college and by sharing the stories of successful professional women in STEAM.
