Each year we host two different job shadow opportunities for two different programs within our pipeline. WIT Girls (middle to high school aged girls) and WIT Campus (University students attending Georgia colleges).

Our immersion events are created to give these age groups real-world experience in the STEM industry with incredible WIT Partners. New and old companies participate each year. Scroll down to see the current sponsors for each of our programs to give you a good idea of the companies you can expect to meet!  

Data indicates that the number of girls interested in STEM nearly doubles—from 26% to 41%—when they have a role model to inspire them.

Job-shadowing experiences have been identified as crucial in supporting women’s careers in STEM fields. Extending these opportunities to young women can help bridge the gender gap in STEM professions.

Early exposure to STEM through hands-on activities and real-world experiences can build girls’ confidence and problem-solving skills, helping them envision themselves as capable contributors to the STEM field.

Step 1 — Register for the appropriate Job Shadow.

WIT Girls or WIT Campus

Step 2 — Get matched with 1 of the many STEM companies to tour that week or day. (you will receive an email prior to the event) 

Step 3 — Make new friends and build your STEM network all while advancing your knowledge & experience within the industry.
