Why did you start volunteering with WIT?

My passion lies in championing women in cybersecurity, no matter where they are in their professional journey. WIT’s commitment to providing targeted programs for every stage—from sparking initial interest to supporting senior leadership— directly aligns with my belief in fostering growth and inclusion in STEM fields.

What do you find most rewarding about volunteering with WIT?

Recently, I watched WIT Girls participants prepare for and compete in DataFest. Their dedication was inspiring, as they committed weekends to learning data analysis and analyzing a complex dataset. What stood out was not only their professional presentation skills and unique insights but also their incredible success: they were the only high school teams participating, and two WIT Girls teams impressively made it to the finals! Their performance was a powerful motivator, inspiring me to want to keep learning and growing in data science! Not to mention, they had so much fun!!

What is your favorite program/event within WIT?
